About Dr. Nilton D. Medina, MD, FACS
Dr. Nilton D. Medina, MD, FACS a Board Certified triple Ivy League educated and trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Atlanta, Georgia. He is an expert in aesthetic surgery of the body. He has used his artistic surgical skills to deliver natural cosmetic results.
Dr. Medina received his education and surgical training at some of the best medical institutions in the country. He received his medical degree from The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire, completed his plastic surgery residency at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and then ultimately a fellowship in microsurgery from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Medina is joining the IBI Healthcare Institute after a 12-year career as a surgery professor in Boston.
He worked at the Division of Plastic Surgery at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. During this time, he performed over 5,000 surgeries and always made patient safety his top priority.
His love for art, science, and medicine helped him develop new surgical methods. These techniques aim to give patients natural-looking results.
He focuses on body rejuvenation procedures such as breast surgery, tummy tucks, liposuction, fat transfer to the buttocks, and revision surgeries.
Dr. Medina has published many research studies in scientific journals. He has also shared his findings at national medical meetings.
In addition, many institutions across the U.S. have invited him to speak and give presentations. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.
He also belongs to the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery. Dr. Medina holds a valid medical license in Georgia, Florida, and Massachusetts.
He was born in Cape Verde and speaks Spanish, French, and Portuguese fluently.
